MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC ILLUSTRATION
Dr. Counce is a retired professional medical illustrator and photorealism portrait, landscape, and still artist. Scientific illustration and medical artistic renderings are tools of formal medical education worldwide. Hand rendered anatomy is a profession reaching back over 2000 years.
From oil, ink, watercolor, or pencil, artistic rendering remains the traditional technique of visual communication and documentation in biomedical education. Superseding even photography, artistic renderings of human anatomy provide a more accurate, and aesthetic definition, photography is unable to capture.
These are a few of Dr. Counce's many renderings.
